Do you deliver?
YES! We currently deliver to the Bay Area and Greater Bay Area. There is a $25 delivery fee for deliveries in the East Bay Area (Crockett - Hayward). Please inquire for deliveries outside of the designated East Bay area as they are quoted individually, by location. All tiered cakes and wedding cakes have a mandatory delivery. Pickup is free of charge and can be coordinated for a specific time on collection day. Once collected, we are no longer responsible for any damages while in transit or during setup.
How do I book my cake?
Get in touch by using the online contact form. We will then contact you by email to talk cake and to finalize a quote. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold the date for your cake. Your cake is not considered on our calendar without receipt of your deposit. The deposit will go towards the total price of your cake. We ask for a minimum of two weeks notice for all custom cakes, but we take bookings up to six months in advance. Cakes that are needed in less then one week (5 business days) will accrue a rush order fee, which requires a minimum order or $125.
What if I need to cancel/postpone my booking but I’ve paid a deposit?
Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable. However, if you need to postpone your booking and contact us no less than seven days before collection day, we will allow you to keep what you have paid as a credit to be used within three months of the original date.
Do you offer fondant cakes?
At Avec la Fleur we specialize in Swiss Meringue Buttercream covered cakes. After years of fine tuning and experimentation we have developed a silky smooth recipe that lends itself to a slightly sweet, salty and light palate that pairs perfectly with our cakes. TEAM BUTTERCREAM!
Cake Pricing?
All of our cakes are bespoke and made custom. While we can take inspiration from cakes we have made in the past, we will never recreate an exact cake. Because of this, all of our cakes are priced individually to your wants. We have set base prices for every size cake; this includes all of our buttercream techniques and color wants. Anything added on to the cake, or add-ons, will raise the base price. Our custom cakes start at $7 a serving, wedding cakes start at $10 a serving,
What are add-ons?
Add-ons are any design elements added to the cake that are not buttercream. They are priced specific to cake size, design and intricacy.
Design Add-Ons:
gold/silver leaf, metallic detail, chocolate drip, confectionary, chocolate sail/shard, rice paper sail, isomalt design, monogram/writing, fresh florals, cake topper, custom shape.
Can you accommodate any dietary restrictions?
At this time we are unable to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Thank you for your understanding.
How long do your cakes last?
As our cakes are covered in swiss meringue buttercream the cakes needs to be stored in the refrigerator until your event begins, where it can then be placed on display and come to room temperature. Ideally give the cake 1.5 to 2 hours to come to room temperature before you wish to serve. Cake tastes best at room temperature. Leftovers should be wrapped tightly with cling wrap and placed in an airtight container, to be consumed within a week.
How do you accept payments?
We accept most forms of electronic cash transfer: Venmo, CashApp, Apple Pay etc. Cash is also accepted. We do not accept personal checks.
